Fatmata Koroma-Bangoura Biography
Fatmata Koroma- Bangoura is a community organizer, philanthropist, and community activist for over 11 years. Her work has addressed the needs and common issues of youths and women by coordinating initiatives that enables them to take collective action to bring about change.
Fatmata Koroma is Founder and Executive Director of Taste is Sierra Leone, Culture and Fashion. TOSCAF (https://toslcaf.com/) is an organization established for people who identify as being part of the African Diaspora and descendants of Sierra Leone.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to bring the luxuries of Sierra Leone to various places in the Diaspora and in Africa. People can also experience the rich culture, traditions and taste the delicious foods and delicacies.
TOSCAF also organizes tours and destination travel to Sierra Leone, West Africa.
By trade, Fatmata is a hands-on healthcare professional providing compassionate and professional care to patients of all medical conditions. She specializes in health education and quality of health issues.
Fatmata served as the former vice president of marketing and sales with African Radio Salone and former secretary on the Executive Board of Directors for the Sierra Leone Association of Artists and Musicians. She has received several awards for her contributions to the Sierra Leone community.
Fatmata has her Master’s Degree in Public Health from Kaplan University ( Purdue University Global). She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with specialty in Recreation therapy and Allied Health Sciences from Howard University in Washington, DC and also has a Nursing Degree from the University of the District of Columbia, in Washington DC.

  • Founder and Executive and CEO of Therapeutic Interventions Inc., ( www.therapeuticinterventionsinc.com) TII is an organization based in Washington, DC that provides communities with information on leadership, education, health, and strategies to enhance their quality of life. Since 2010, Therapeutic Interventions Inc. has established a sustainable, viable and credible network in the community with people from all over African Diaspora with its outreach programs.
  • Chair and Co-founder of Kushe’ Magazine (www.kushemag.com). Kushe’ is a platform for communicating the actions and achievements of African progressives to a world-wide audience. Kushe’ addresses personalities and affairs of people connected to Sierra Leone and to broader African nationalities. We give voice and recognition to the meaningful and inspiring work that African men, women, and children are engaged in every day.
  • Pageant Director of Miss Culture USA Pageant which has been in existence since 2015, giving women the vision, platform and opportunity to inspire the world through their intelligence, integrity, and leadership abilities.
